It is my pleasure to welcome you aboard as a partner in the effort of planning the 2018 National Million Father March. Since 2004, the Million Fathers March has hosted dads from around the world escorting their children to school on or near the first day.  The activities will take place on Friday, September 28th throughout the country and abroad.

We are thankful for our friend and brother Phillip Jackson of the Black Star Project for his years of devotion and commitment to education and father engagement. Fathers Incorporated is both honored and humbled that he has asked that we coordinate the national effort and its future direction.

The excitement is already building and we are excited about how your effort will add to the success of engaging dads/male caretakers in the academic lives of our children. The theme this year is REAL DADS READ. We know that when fathers are involved in the lives of their children, especially their education, children learn more, perform better in school, and exhibit healthier behavior. In addition, even when fathers do not share a home with their children, their active involvement can have a lasting and positive impact. So it is our desire that our partners find ways to plan activities around reading and literacy.

Upon registering as a partner, you will receive a guide answering many of the questions we receive over the course of planning for the march.
